CDG would like to extend our team’s best wishes for your health and safety during the COVID-19 crisis, and to outline our approach to adapting our work during the challenges we currently face and those ahead.

First and foremost, CDG is committed to supporting the health and well-being of our staff, clients, collaborators, and surrounding communities, in particular those at an increased risk. All staff are working remotely and fast learning to efficiently collaborate using the many digital communication tools available to us.

As designers our work is tangible, tactile, and of course brought to life by teams of craftspersons. This presents inherent challenges during this crisis as the very nature of our work is face to face and collaborative, in particular when in the field with our clients and contractors. CDG is committed to being as flexible as we can be so that we may continue working with our clients, supporting the contractors adapting and closing their jobsites, and maintaining relationships with vendors re-imagining what a showroom is. Our vitality as a design studio depends on you, our clients, collaborators, and friends. As such we are deeply grateful for your support and your courage during this uncertain time.

Thank you for your support, your understanding, and most importantly for taking the critical actions necessary to “flatten the curve.” While “social distancing” has become the new norm, perhaps we could all positively re-frame the phrase as “distant socializing”  to encourage all who are able to take full advantage of the communication tools we have to stay in touch with family and friends, so that we may all support each other with the uplifting power of the human connection.

As so many people in our state of Vermont and all over the world must stay home and are now unemployed, if you are able, please consider supporting an organization working to ensure that the vulnerable among us receive the food, shelter, and care they need during this crisis.

As circumstances continue to change and we learn more, we will again communicate to share how we are responding.

Be well and stay in touch, it would be great to hear from you.
