CDG Presented Brungardt Award

Fairlee, Vermont - September 22, 2016 - Together with Friends of the Green River Reservoir, Cushman Design Group of Stowe, VT, was presented the Theresa S. Brungardt Award from the Vermont Recreation & Parks Association.

The award, established in 1975, is presented annually to an organization in recognition of outstanding service in supporting recreation and parks in Vermont. Theresa S. Brungardt was a pioneer and leader of parks and recreation in Vermont and in 1952 elected president of the American Recreation Society.

Cushman Design Group has worked in collaboration with the FGRR and Vermont State Parks over the past 20+ years on many projects at the Green River Reservoir State Park in Hyde Park, VT. These projects have included designing and implementing improved facilities, ADA compliant waterfront ramp access, and the award winning Green Mountain Comfort station composting privy. In attendance, pictured left to right, to accept the award on behalf of Cushman Design Group and the Friends of the Green River Reservoir were CDG Project Manager Kelley Osgood, Terri Gregory of CDG and FGRR Board Member, Susan Bulmer Vermont Dept. of Forest, Parks and Recreation Regional Manager, and Milford Cushman President of CDG and Vice-President of the FGRR Board.
