Firehouse Apartments

Firehouse Apartments were developed as private/public partnership to serve low to moderate income households in Bristol, VT. Originally conceptualized by Cushman Design Group as part of the Stoney Hill Master Plan development, one of the initial design goals of the project was to offer three variations of “just big enough” homes for people to live within walking and biking distance of downtown Bristol and adjacent to the local schools. The final design includes twenty 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartments including town home flats and duplexes. The development includes a community room, on-site laundry, gardens, and children play areas.

The final design was revised in collaboration with the owner and completed by project architect, Steve Schenker of S2 Architecture.
