Treehouse
Our clients asked us to reimagine their newly built luxury residence into a home that reflected their personal style and design preferences.
Warmth and texture were introduced using basswood wall paneling throughout the living room, entry, and hallway. In the living area, we designed a custom rift-sawn oak cabinet handcrafted by local Vermont furniture maker, Todd Sirak. It serves as an entertainment center, music station, bar, and storage. A new dining table, chairs, living room furniture, and rugs were sourced to bring character and comfort to the space. A new lighting fixture in the dining room opened the sightline from the kitchen. Recessed lighting was added throughout the residence to brighten key areas, add ambiance, and light the “art of the room”, as is typical of CDG’s lighting design.
The entryway received a quiet yet impactful update with a re-stained bench, integrated hooks, and updated lighting. We reworked the hall closet and added a pantry cabinet in the corridor to the guest bedroom. The bedrooms, previously carpeted, were upgraded with matching wood flooring for a seamless flow. In the guest room, multifunctionality was key: we installed a space-saving, rotating, luxury bed/office wall system by Resource Furniture.
In the primary bathroom, a concrete sink was removed in favor of a double vanity with integrated sinks and Robern medicine cabinets with integrated LED Profiles lighting. A backsplash was added to unify the new design with existing materials.
The result is a space that feels grounded, custom, and unmistakably personal.
