Nita Hultstrom

Nita brings strong organizational and financial skills, as well as a detail-oriented mindset to the Cushman Design Group. As Business Manager, she is a collaborative member of the CDG team, skillfully handling the business and marketing aspects of the firm.

Nita’s lifelong interest in design brought her to CDG’s Stowe, Vermont studio in 1997. She embraces how our firm’s process enables environmentally conscious design decisions to have a lasting impact on the built environment.

Nita holds a Bachelor’s degree in Plant Science and Business from the University of New Hampshire and is certified as a landscape designer. She began her career as the manager of two greenhouse businesses in Northeast Massachusetts. After 10 years on the North Shore, she moved to Vermont to enjoy the activities its mountains and lakes have to offer. She serves on the board of the Waterbury Land Initiative and the Waterbury Tree Board. In her spare time, she enjoys restoring her 1875 farmhouse, gardening, kayaking, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, and skiing.
