Meadow View Contemporary
The two new flat roofed volumes built on the northeast side of this house in northern Vermont are designed to create a generous master suite on the main level, a light filled office, and well appointed bedrooms for the couple's grand children in the lower level. Large casement, picture, and awning windows in the master suite and office take in stunning views of the northern end of the Worcester Mountains, and endow both spaces with the rejuvenating qualities of abundant daylight.
Nearing retirement, our clients have careers that frequently see them travelling. For them, their home is both a place of rest and rejuvenation, and a hub of activity and joyful energy during family gatherings. In responding to their request for main level living and re-imagined interior spaces, our team crafted a beautiful solution that addresses inter-generational accessibility with a clean contemporary aesthetic.
Our project team collaborated on architectural, interior, and landscape design with our clients and Travis Cutler, VP of general contractor Donald P. Blake Jr., Inc.
