Seven Pools
The stone used for the dry laid walls of this landscape project came from a Route 100 bridge reconstruction project in Morrisville, Vermont. The hard rock was delivered to the site as blasted ledge and then rendered into pieces to compose walls that are designed to appear as the foundation walls of barns of another era. The large granite boulders were harvested from the owner's property and placed first in the construction sequence to give solidness and goundedness to the residence. A courtyard lies between the master bedroom wing and the kitchen wing and offers a protected sanctuary from the driveway.
