Located in Starksboro, Vermont and with stunning easterly views to Camels Hump, one of tallest peaks in the Green Mountain Range, our client requested that we collaborate with him on the design of a rugged and rustic mountain home. The building features a hemlock frame, fabricated by Liberty Head Post and Beam with the timbers milled in North Hyde Park, VT by M.B.Heath & Sons. The frame has been stained with Land Ark Natural Wood Finish, a linseed, tung and orange oil based penetrating wood finish. The building will be sheathed with structural insulated panels (SIPS) for energy and fabrication efficiency. The general contractor is David Werner of Middlebury, Vermont.
