Haven: a place of refuge and rest. There is, perhaps, no better way to describe what this project represents to the owners of this vintage lakeside retreat. When we were first commissioned to design the renovations to this early 1900’s fishing camp we knew there was something special about this place. Decades old tracings of fish caught still remained on the interior walls and we imagined stories told and summers spent enjoying the comforts of family. With this in mind we set forth to provide a clean, modern refuge that still speaks to the simple charm of the original camp vernacular while using local, healthy building components.
